Photos from a birthday, a trip or a product shoot are easier to share as one short video. Add your pictures, put them in order, choose how long each stays on screen and how they transition, add a song, and render an MP4 that plays on any phone or TV.

Overview
A slideshow video shows each photo for a set time, from 1 to 10 seconds (3 by default), joined by a transition or a hard cut. The same thirteen transitions as the Transitions tool are available, among them crossfade, dissolve, fade through black or white, wipes, slides, circle and pixelize, at 0.3 to 2 seconds long. A transition can use at most half of each photo’s time, and the tool shows the effective length. An optional Ken Burns effect adds a slow 10% zoom to every photo, alternating in and out so the movement doesn’t feel repetitive.
Four output sizes cover the common destinations: 1920 × 1080 and 1280 × 720 landscape, 1080 × 1080 square and 1080 × 1920 vertical. Photos with a different shape can be fitted onto a blurred, darkened copy of themselves, fitted on a solid colour of your choice, or cropped to fill the frame. The preview shows the selected photo exactly as it will be framed, and you can reorder photos by dragging thumbnails or with the arrow buttons.
Add one music file (MP3, M4A, WAV, OGG or anything your browser can play) with a volume from 0 to 150%. The music is trimmed to the slideshow’s length with a two-second fade-out at the end, and if the song is shorter than the slideshow it loops. Up to 200 photos can be added, but very long slideshows use a lot of memory, so phones may struggle beyond about 60 photos.
Each photo is first drawn at the exact output size on a canvas, then FFmpeg 5.1 compiled to WebAssembly assembles the video at 30 fps as an MP4 with H.264 video (CRF 22) and AAC audio. Nothing is uploaded. Encoding is single-threaded, so a one-minute 1080p slideshow can take a few minutes, and Ken Burns zooms add more work. The engine is downloaded once (about 31 MB) and cached.

Pro tips
Answers to common questions about the slideshow maker.
Photos × seconds per photo, minus the length of each transition, because neighbouring photos overlap while they blend. The sidebar shows the exact total as you change settings.
With Fit, blur they are shown whole on a blurred, darkened copy of themselves. Fit, colour uses a solid bar colour instead, and Fill crops them to cover the frame.
Longer songs are cut at the end of the slideshow with a two-second fade-out. Shorter songs loop until the slideshow ends.
Not at the moment. Every photo uses the same duration and transition. To feature one picture for longer, add it twice in a row.
Only if your browser can decode them, which Safari usually can. Otherwise, convert them to JPG first with the HEIC to JPG tool.
