Shipping an app means exporting the same icon at a dozen exact sizes. Drop in one square image and get a complete AppIcon set for Xcode, launcher icons for every Android density and PWA icons, all packaged in a ZIP that's ready to drop into your project.

Overview
Every platform asks for its icon at different pixel sizes. iOS uses point sizes multiplied by the screen scale: a 60-point home-screen icon is 120 px on a 2× iPhone and 180 px on a 3× iPhone, and iPad and the App Store add 76, 83.5 and 1024-point variants. This generator renders all 13 unique iOS pixel sizes, from 20 to 1024 px. It writes them into an AppIcon.appiconset folder with a Contents.json that maps each file to its idiom, size and scale, so Xcode recognises the set immediately.
Apple applies its own rounded-corner mask and rejects icons with transparency. That's why the iOS images are always exported as fully opaque squares: any transparent area gets your chosen background colour (white by default), and the corner radius setting is ignored for iOS. Android and PWA icons respect your transparency and corner radius, so you can export rounded or circular launcher icons.
For Android, the ZIP mirrors the res folder layout: ic_launcher.png in mipmap-mdpi (48 px), hdpi (72 px), xhdpi (96 px), xxhdpi (144 px) and xxxhdpi (192 px), plus a 512 × 512 icon for the Google Play listing. For Progressive Web Apps it adds 192 and 512 px icons and a 512 px maskable icon. The maskable icon is opaque, square and padded, so the artwork stays inside the safe zone when Android crops it into a circle or squircle.
Your image is drawn into each size on a canvas with high-quality resampling, entirely in the browser, and nothing is uploaded. Use a square source of at least 1024 × 1024 px for the sharpest results. Non-square images are fitted inside the square, and the tool warns you when that happens. Padding gives artwork breathing room, which matters for logos that touch the edges.
| Platform | File / folder | Pixel size |

| App Store | Icon-1024.png | 1024 |
| Android mdpi → xxxhdpi | mipmap-*/ic_launcher.png | 48 / 72 / 96 / 144 / 192 |
| Google Play | android/playstore-icon.png | 512 |

Drop a square image (1024 × 1024 px or larger) into the generator.
Adjust padding, corner radius and background colour while watching the iOS and Android previews.
Choose the platforms you need: iOS/iPadOS, Android and PWA.
Click Download app icons to get one ZIP with all sizes and folders.
Copy ios/AppIcon.appiconset into your Xcode asset catalog and the android mipmap folders into app/src/main/res.
Use cases
Replace the empty AppIcon set in a new Xcode project in seconds. The Contents.json already lists every iPhone, iPad and App Store slot.
Drop the generated mipmap folders into your res directory for crisp launcher icons on every screen density, and upload the 512 px icon to Google Play.
Reference the 192 and 512 px icons in your web manifest, and add the maskable icon so Android shows a full-bleed icon instead of a small logo in a white circle.
React Native, Flutter, Capacitor and Expo projects all use these same native folders and sizes, so one export covers both platforms.
Pro tips
Answers to common questions about the app icon generator.
Apple requires App Store and home-screen icons to be opaque squares and applies the rounded mask itself. The generator therefore exports iOS icons with square corners and fills transparency with your background colour. Android and PWA icons keep your corner radius and transparency.
Open Assets.xcassets in your project and replace the existing AppIcon set with the generated ios/AppIcon.appiconset folder. The included Contents.json tells Xcode which file belongs to which slot.
It creates the standard launcher PNGs for every density and a 512 px Play Store icon. Adaptive icons (separate foreground and background layers) are not generated. You can build them from the same source image with Android Studio’s Image Asset tool.
A maskable PWA icon is a full-bleed square with padding, so Android can crop it into its current icon shape without cutting off the logo. The generator pads it automatically and fills the background.
